When we use the term “linen” it contains all the category of woven textile used to furnish the home such as towels, cushions, curtains and sheets. The term “bed linen” is comprised of all bedding items from bedcovers to quilt, duvets, pillow, quilt covers, pillow covers and bed sheets.
Purchasing tips: since the concept of investing on bed linen is all about achieving comfort; therefore various important things need to be remembered before buying them. Markets are inundated with bed linens of all colors, shapes and fabrics; thus it is important to do the homework to find out what you exactly want or you will get bewilder among humungous variety.

Another important thing is to get rid of the conception that spending on making the bedding luxurious is being extravagant. You got to experience it once to find out that it pays back really well. Also, various famous bed linen brands announce bed linen sale quite often.

Firstly, take exact measurements of your bed. Do not fall prey to the captions like king size, queen size or standard size. This initial stage is certainly not the one to get any surprise.

Secondly, measure the thickness of your mattress. Many people ignore this important thing and get the fitted sheet that pops off. Some new beds have pillow top mattresses 18 inches thick or so. So, make sure you are getting the accurate size or buying the next size to keep some flexibility is also the safe bet.

If going for fitted sheet, get the one that elastic all the way around. It will not pop off and stay on the bed, instead of the one that elastic on the sides or corners.

Thirdly, most important stage is choosing the right fabric. It is most important because your body will be touching the fabric of your bed sheet directly. Therefore, it is advisable to go for most natural fabrics like cotton, linen or amalgamation of both. Cotton bed linen combined with memory foam pillows is quite a comfortable combination.

Cotton linens are easy in use as moisture is evaporated quickly and also absorbent. They are soft too and give a cool feeling in the night. It is good for the folks who get their nerves hot in the night.
Another option for bed linens is polyester blend. They are quite economical and don’t wrinkle much also. Also, they get warm for the people who feel cold in the night. But polyester blends are neither much durable nor too comfortable as body odor rub off on them.
